When God Shuts You in, God Will Remember You.
The LORD then said to Noah, "Go into the ark, you and your whole family, because I have found you righteous in this generation. . . . In the six hundredth year of Noah's life . . . all the springs of the great deep burst forth, and the floodgates of the heavens were opened.
. . . On that very day Noah and his sons . . . together with his wife and the wives of his three sons, entered the ark. . . . Pairs of all creatures that have the breadth of life in them came to Noah and entered the ark. . . . Then the LORD shut him in.
Every living thing on the face of the earth was wiped out . . . Only Noah was left, and those with him in the ark. The waters flooded the earth for a hundred and fifty days.
But God remembered Noah and all the wild animals and the livestock that were with him in the ark, and He sent a wind over the earth, and the waters receded. Genesis 7:1-8:1.

For a hundred and fifty days, the entire earth was flooded and every living creature was wiped out. "But God remembered Noah and all the wild animals and the livestock that were with him in the ark, and He sent a wind over the earth, and the waters receded."
God shut Noah into the ark before the flood and God remembered Noah at the height of the flood and caused the floodwaters to recede so that Noah could be safe.
When God shuts you in, God will remember you and rescue you at the right time. The journey of life is full of uncertainties and many challenges and dangers over which we have no control. There are times when it seems as if we have been shut into an ark, with flood and danger all around us. We could be shut in with a severe illness or disease; we could be shut in with a terrible marital or family situation; we could be shut in with a severe job, business or unemployment situation; we could be shut in with financial difficulties.
Regardless of what we face, we can be sure of one thing: when God allows you to be shut into a situation, God will remember you at the right time and rescue you. I have a friend who was shut into a situation of unemployment for several months. Every door seemed shut in his face. But suddenly, God started opening doors one after the other. He had to leave a new job for one that had offered him a substantially higher remuneration.
Don't lose hope when you feel shut in and the floodwaters are rising around you. Ultimately, God will work all things out for your good. If God allows you to be shut in, He will remember you.

Prayer: Father, I thank you for the example I see in Noah's life. You shut him in and you remembered him. Help me to hold onto the truth of your word that if you shut me in like you did with Noah, you will also remember me. Thank you, Father. Amen.
