Thank You For Giving To The Lord
Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the Kingdom and healing every disease and sickness.
When He saw the crowds, He had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then He said to His disciples, "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into His harvest field." Matthew 9:35-38

God is on a mission. His mission is to reconcile humanity to Himself and give us eternal life. God sent His only begotten Son Jesus Christ to die and establish His Church, and He tasked us with the completion of this mission. This involves the use of our Time, Talents and Treasures.
Jesus set the example of how to accomplish this divine assignment by the way He lived and worked. In three short years of ministry, Jesus travelled through towns, cities and villages healing sicknesses and diseases and sharing the good news that salvation was available for all.
Jesus left us with an assignment to continue and finish the task. The Bible tells us that the Gospel of Jesus will be preached throughout the earth and then the end of the ages will come. Our Lord will return to take His own with Him. Jesus has commanded us to go out and make disciples of all nations and bring them into the family of God.This is a rather daunting task. Humanity is harassed and helpless. We are like sheep without a shepherd.
As our Savior went about working hard to bring people into God's Kingdom, He was deeply moved with compassion at the enormous sea of humanity that needed to be reached with the love of God. So, He remarked:"The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into His harvest field." You and I are the workers God has called into His harvest field. God is depending on us and we must not let Him down. The harvest is truly plentiful but the laborers are few. Those of us who understand are committed to the task with our Time, Talents and Treasures.
Thank you for giving your Time, Talents and Treasures to the cause of God's kingdom agenda. Thank you for ensuring that the Gospel is preached. Thank you for the many lives that are being changed because of your generosity. Thank you for giving to the Lord.
