I Will See the Goodness of the Lord.
In Psalm 27, David says he will remain confident that he will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. David's life had many troubles: he was constantly running from people who wanted to harm him, he dealt with fear, his family life was in turmoil, he went through betrayal, he suffered through the death of his children and close friends, and he also murdered an innocent man and committed adultery. How can a man with so many troubles in his life remain so confident that he would see the goodness of the Lord in his situations? Yes, David sinned and had many troubles, but David was also a worshipper of God and sought after God. He knew how to draw near to God, which helped him remain confident that the goodness of God would bring him through all his troubles.
