May The Latter Part of Your Life Be More Blessed

The LORD blessed the latter part of Job's life more than the former part. He had fourteen thousand sheep, six thousand camels, a thousand yoke of oxen and a thousand donkeys. And he also had seven sons and three daughters.
The first daughter he named Jemimah, the second Keziah and the third Keren-Happuch.
Nowhere in all the land were there found women as beautiful as Job's daughters, and their father granted them an inheritance along with their brothers.
After this, Job lived a hundred and forty years, he saw his children and their children to the fourth generation. And so Job died an old man full of years.   Job 42:12-16

Job was a very righteous man who was attacked by Satan under divine permission. Job had absolutely no idea that his righteous lifestyle had attracted the anger of Satan. When Satan had the opportunity, he discredited Job before God. He said that Job's faithfulness to God was only because God had blessed him tremendously. So, Satan accused Job of serving God based on impure motives.

A heavenly bet was waged between God and Satan. God gave Satan permission to attack Job to prove that Job would not turn his back on God, no matter how much suffering he encountered. Satan destroyed Job's entire family along with all his businesses and possessions. Job became a laughing stock. Even his wife asked him to curse God and die. To her, it was no longer worth it for Job to continue holding onto his integrity. Job had many questions for God, but he held onto his faith.

After a prolonged period of suffering, God finally answered Job. God had a conversation with him after which He restored Job to an even more glorious state of wealth and renown than before. The biblical account speaks clearly: "The LORD blessed the latter part of Job's life more than the former part."

Regardless of what painful trials and experiences you may be having, continue to serve God faithfully. Like Job, the enemy would push every button to undermine your faith in God. But keep pressing on in your faith. Don't give up pursuing what God has entrusted to you. God has not forgotten about you. May your latter end be more glorious than the beginning. May God restore whatever the "locusts" have eaten from you. May you be full of years and good health.

Prayer: Father, I thank you for the bright future ahead of me. I am confident that what you have in store for me is much greater than any blessings of the past. Help me to continue serving you faithfully. Amen.
