Bring Me Your Heavy Load

"All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal Him.
Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."  Matthew 11:27-29

What an invitation! Jesus is inviting us to take our weariness and our burdens to Him and He will give us rest. Jesus understands that the burdens of life can make us tired, weary, and discouraged. He wants to bring us relief.

The premise of the invitation is that every conceivable resource to meet every need has been given to Jesus by the Father. So, this is not an empty invitation. The one who controls everything is giving us the assurance that He can take care of whatever heavy load we are carrying because He has the ability to do that.

Along with His vast resources is the intense desire of Jesus to reveal the Father to "those to whom the Father chooses to reveal them." That is an even more exciting offer.
Jesus wants to bring us into an understanding and fellowship of the heart of our God! Then, along with that, He will take our burdens upon Himself and give us rest!

Whatever burden you are carrying is not too heavy for Jesus. So, would you take it to Him in prayer and faith today? Would you ask Jesus to truly reveal the Father to you so that you can understand the heart of God? Understanding the goodness, mercies, grace, and deep love of our Father's heart helps us to approach the Throne of Grace boldly through Jesus.

Jesus is our Mighty Intercessor and Burden Bearer. Let's take Him at His word and cast all our cares on Him because He truly cares for us.

Take a moment to reflect over whatever burden you may be carrying: Your family, job, career, business, finances, relationships, children, health, or ministry. No burden is too heavy for Jesus.
Let's take Him at His word. Let's take every burden to Jesus today.

Prayer: Jesus, I thank you for the provision you have made for my burdens. I bring it all to you because I know you care deeply about me. Thank you, Jesus. Amen.
