Let The Spirit Change You Completely
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters. And God said, "Let there be light," and there was light. . . . And God said, "Let there be a vault between the waters to separate water from water." . . . And it was so. . . . And God said, "Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear." And it was so.

The account of creation is certainly very fascinating. God simply spoke everything into being.
The earth was formless and empty. There was no life whatsoever but life started coming into being when God started speaking.
There is a very arresting truth prior to God speaking: The Bible tells us that the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters prior to God uttering any word. It is evident that the Spirit of God was the agent of creation. God did not speak until the Spirit was present in power to turn God's word into the reality of life and creation. Literally, the Spirit of God was brooding over the surface of the waters just like a mother hen broods over her eggs until life is released into the eggs, in the form of young chicks. Life came as the Spirit hovered over the formlessness and emptiness. Jesus made a remarkable statement in John 6:63 that "the Spirit gives life."
I wonder if we really pause to think about the role of the Holy Spirit in our lives. Creation came into being as the Holy Spirit hovered over the darkness and emptiness, prior to God speaking.
It was the Spirit who gave life to the darkness and emptiness and transformed the situation. The power of the Spirit transforms situations from lifelessness to life.
Just as it happened at Creation, the Holy Spirit can transform every darkness and emptiness we feel in life if we invite Him to move upon our hearts and hover over us. Would you invite Him to do that in your life today? He is the Spirit of life and He is ready to inject new life into you and your situation. Allow Him to brood afresh over you. He will completely change you.
