Let’s Touch Jesus
When they had crossed over, they came to the land of Gennesaret. And when they came out of
the boat, immediately, the people recognized Him, and ran through that whole surrounding
region, and began to carry about on beds those who were sick to wherever they heard He was.
Wherever He entered, into villages, cities, or the country, they laid the sick in the
marketplaces, and begged Him that they might just touch the hem of His garment. And as
many as touched Him were made well. (Mark 6:53-56 NKJV).

The passage above is a scene from the life of Jesus on earth. It is a scene of Jesus bringing hope
to the hopeless and healing to the sick, battered and broken. It is a scene of people hearing that
Jesus was ministering in town. So, they went around taking their loved ones who were sick to
Jesus.
The Scripture says: “Wherever He entered, into villages, cities, or the country, they laid the sick
in the marketplaces, and begged Him that they might just touch the hem of His garment. And as
many as touched Him were made well.”
Jesus came that we might have life in abundance (John 10:10). Jesus came to make us whole.
This Christmas, would you touch Jesus and be made well? Would you touch Jesus and receive
healing physically, mentally and emotionally? With all the turmoil around us today. Jesus is
waiting to be touched! We can touch Jesus by expressing faith in His ability to touch us back!
One of the most comforting passages of Scripture about Jesus is Isaiah 9:6, “For to us a child is
born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on His shoulders. And He will be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”
This Christmas, can I encourage you to put the government of your life on the shoulders of
Jesus? Can I encourage you to make the Wonderful Counselor your personal Counselor? Can I
encourage you to take refuge under the wings of the Mighty God and everlasting Father? Can I
encourage you to receive true peace from the Prince of Peace?
Reach out and touch Jesus. Invite Him to into your life. Let Him overshadow you with His
protective Presence. He will bring healing to your life. He will make you well.
