Signs, Wonders and Salvation

Then Peter stood up with the Eleven, raised His voice and addressed the crowd:..
In the last days, God says, I will pour out My Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams.
Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out My Spirit in those days, and they will prophesy. I will show wonders in the heavens above and signs on the earth below...and everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved...Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day (Acts 2:17-41).
The outpouring of the Holy Spirit is part of God’s end-time plan and agenda for His Church. There is no discrimination about the recipients of the Spirit. This underscores the vital nature of the presence of the Holy Spirit in the life of every Believer. No child of God is to be left out. The Holy Spirit is for “all people.” It is a gift for “young men” and “old men, and “God’s servants, both men and women.”

It is interesting that God reserved the outpouring of His Spirit for the “last days.” I believe this is because “the last days,” of which we are a part, is a time of fierce spiritual battles. Satan is so furious that nothing short of the empowering presence of the Holy Spirit in the life of every Christian can withstand the very intense demonic activities we face today. It simply can’t be business as usual. We can only survive by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Living an empowered life in the Spirit means signs and wonders; dreams and visions, as well as the salvation of souls will accompany our lives as Believers. What a privilege it is to live under the influence of the Holy Spirit.
Let’ s fully invest ourselves in the Holy Spirit so that signs, wonders and salvations will accompany our lives just like the early Church.
Satan will always work counterfeit signs and wonders but true signs and wonders from the Holy Spirit, always result in the salvation of souls as the highest priority. That should be our focus.

Prayer: Father, I thank you for giving us Your Holy Spirit. Please help me draw so close to the Spirit that my life will be accompanied by signs, wonders and salvations to bring glory to Jesus. Amen.
