Possess Your Promised Land

I will give you every place where you set your foot, as I promised Moses. Your territory will extend from the desert to Lebanon, and from the great river, the Euphrates - all the Hittite country - to the Mediterranean Sea in the west. (Joshua 1:3-4).
God had a Promised Land for His children and Joshua was tasked with taking the Israelites into that land. God clearly outlined the entire land they were to possess.
What I find fascinating is that God said to Joshua,  "I will give you every place where you set your foot…"

God was telling Joshua that even though He had already granted him the Promised Land, Joshua could only inherit whatever portion he stepped out to possess. Joshua had to act otherwise he could not possess the Promised Land, the Presence of God with him notwithstanding.

As a child of God, you have a divinely assigned Promised Land. Your Promised Land is what God wants you to accomplish with all the skills, talents, education and various gifts He has blessed you with. This goes beyond earning a living with those skills. It encompasses the effect of your life on others and society as a whole.

So question, are you taking steps to possess your Promised Land?
Start possessing your Promised Land today! God is with you

Prayer: Father, I thank you for the Promised Land you have assigned to me. Please give me the courage and grace to step out and possess it for your glory. Help me to start today, I ask all this in Jesus' Name. Amen.
