Nothing Is Impossible With God

In the six month of Elizabeth's pregnancy, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee, to a virgin . . . The virgin's name was Mary. The angel went to her and said, "Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you."
Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be. But the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God. You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call Him Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High."
. . . "How will this be," Mary asked the angel, "since I am a virgin?"
The angel answered, "The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you.
. . . Even Elizabeth your relative is going to have a child in her old age, and she who was said to be unable to conceive is in her sixth month. For no word from God will ever fail."
(For with God nothing will be impossible -- v. 37, NKJV).
"I am the Lord's servant," Mary answered, "May your word to me be fulfilled."
Luke 1:26-38

No word from God will ever fail (NIV).
For the word of God will never fail (NLT)
Nothing, you see, is impossible with God (MSG)
For with God nothing [is or ever] shall be impossible (Amp).

The birth of Jesus was through a miraculous conception. The angel Gabriel approached Mary with the news that she was going to give birth to the Son of God. Naturally, Mary had questions: "How will this be since I am a virgin?" The angel explained that the Holy Spirit was going to supernaturally cause her to conceive.

And then, to put her at ease, Gabriel added that even Mary's relative, Elizabeth, who had been barren all her life, was going to have a son in her old age because nothing is impossible with God! No word of God will ever fail. Mary responded with faith: "May your word to me be fulfilled."

Many times, our minds tend to be riddled with doubt as to whether God really has the ability or power to accomplish what we seek of Him or what He has promised to do in our lives.
As you celebrate Christmas, be assured that just as God caused an old barren woman to conceive and a virgin to supernaturally give birth, God can wipe away every barrenness in your life and cause you to conceive unexpected blessings. May the God of the impossible hear your cry and cause the impossible to become possible in your life. Nothing is impossible with God.

Prayer: Lord, I thank you that with you all things are possible. Please help me to respond with faith to your word and believe that the impossible will become possible in my life because, with you, all things are possible. Amen.
