Praising the Lord, Morning and Night
It is good to praise the LORD, and make music in your name, O Most High, proclaiming your love in the morning and your faithfulness at night, to the music of the ten-stringed lyre and the melody of the harp.
For you make me glad by your deeds, LORD; I sing for joy at what your hands have done.

Lord:
As I reflect on the gift of life, I am reminded that it is simply by your grace that I have lived to see another day. The mystery of sleeping and waking up with the breath of life is beyond my understanding. There are many who did not wake up from their sleep, but you have graciously allowed me to see the light of another day. So, I offer my praises to you this morning. It is good to praise you this morning and proclaim your undeserved love to me.
Tonight, as I retire from the events of yet another day on earth, please help me to reflect on your faithfulness. Help me not to forget that it is because of your love that I had not been consumed by the myriad of things that could have snuffed out my life. An accident could have ended my life. An unexplained malfunction in my body could have ended my life. Being at the wrong place could have resulted in tragedy, but your faithfulness keeps me to see the end of yet another day. Help me to proclaim your love in the morning, and declare your faithfulness at night.
I sing for joy at what you have done in my life.
I thank you for the many storms you have brought me through. I thank you for the strength you have given me to persevere and endure.
The plans you have for me are for my good and never for evil; they are plans to prosper me and not to harm me. They are plans to give me hope and a future.
Your works are great and your thoughts are profound!
As wonderful as you have been to me, my heart is filled with gladness at that which you have ahead for me. With the eye of faith, I see you doing exceedingly abundantly above all that I can ask or imagine. So, I praise you this morning, and tonight I will declare your faithfulness.
