God Will Fight For You

When you go to war against your enemies and see horses and chariots and an army greater than yours, do not be afraid of them, because the LORD your God, who brought you up out of Egypt, will be with you.
When you are about to go into battle, the priest shall come forward and address the army. He shall say:  '. . . Do not be fainthearted or afraid; do not panic or be terrified by them.
For the LORD your God is the one who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory.'  (Deuteronomy 20:1-4)

When God brought His children out of Egypt into the Promised Land, He knew that as a new nation, without a standing army and instruments of warfare, they would feel overwhelmed by the vast armies and superior equipment of their enemies. God needed to assure them that He would fight for them and that the superior numbers and chariots of their enemies was a non-factor.
God simply wanted the Israelites to trust and depend on Him.

Everyday has challenges and battles of its own. Sometimes the uncertainties and sheer weightiness of life makes it feel as if we are in a war. We face challenges on our jobs, in our relationships, families, marriages, academic pursuits and many other spheres.
These challenges can be so overwhelming that we might feel outnumbered and under-equipped compared to the"enemy" we face.

Today, as you embark on your activities and responsibilities, be assured that the same faithful God who fought for the Israelites, fights for you.
He will equip you with all the grace, wisdom, favor and strength you need to tackle every responsibility. Walk in the full assurance that you are not alone.
Your God will fight for you. Be at peace and be encouraged.

Prayer: Father, I thank you for the promise you have made to me in your word.
Your word to me is that you will fight my battles for me today.
I ask for wisdom, strength, grace and protection to undertake every responsibility victoriously.
I pray this in the Mighty Name of Jesus. Amen
