The LORD Is My Refuge And My Fortress

Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust."
. . . He will cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you will find refuge . . .
You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday.
A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you.   . . . no harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent.
For He will command His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways;
they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.
. . . "Because He loves me," says the LORD, "I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.  . . . I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him.
With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation."  Psalm 91

The words of Psalm 91 were inspired by the Holy Spirit. They are words of assured protection and blessings upon those who place their full trust in the LORD by resting in His shadow.
Because God is not a man that He should lie (Num. 23:19), God will watch over these words and cause them to be fruitful in your life as you walk obediently with Him.

So:
May you continually dwell in the shadow of the Most High.
May the LORD continue to be your refuge and your fortress.
May God cover you with His feathers and may you find refuge under His wings.
May you not fear the terror of night nor the arrow that flies by day.

When thousands fall around you, may it not come near you.
May no harm overtake you and no disaster come near your tent.
May God command His angels to guard you in all your ways.
May the angels of God lift you up so you will not strike your foot against a stone.
May your love for God be so genuine and deep that He will always rescue and protect you.

Because you acknowledge the LORD:
May God be with you in times of trouble;
May God always deliver you and honor you.
May God heal you and satisfy you with good health and a long life.
May you see the salvation of God in every situation you encounter.

The LORD is your refuge and your fortress.
Prayer: Father, I thank you for your goodness toward me. I pray that all these promises will be fulfilled in my life as I walk obediently with you. Amen.
