Our God Is An Awesome God
Do you not know? Have you not heard? Has it not been told you from the beginning?
Have you not understood since the earth was founded?
He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth, and its people are like grasshoppers.
He stretches out the heavens like a canopy, and spreads them out like a tent to live in.
He brings princes to naught and reduces the rulers of this world to nothing.
. . . "To whom will you compare me? Or who is my equal?" says the Holy One.
Lift up your eyes and look to the heavens: Who created all these?
He who brings out the starry host one by one and calls forth each of them by name.
Because of His great power and mighty strength, not one of them is missing.

Our God is an awesome God. Our God is without equal. Our God is all-powerful. Our God rules supreme over all of creation. The earth is but a tiny speck in the eyes of God. The people of the earth are like grasshoppers in the sight of God. The enormous heavens are like a camping tent for God. God has the final word on who is elevated to power in the world. He alone allows people to ascend to power and He alone can bring people down from their thrones of power.
Our God is incomparable to anyone or anything. He knows every star in the universe. He keeps every star in place. He has a name for every star. But more importantly, God knows you and me by name and He loves us very deeply. He so loves us that He sent His son Jesus Christ to die for us and to reconcile us to Himself. That is even more awesome! The love of God is far too awesome to even contemplate! Truly, our God is an awesome God.
Would you take a moment to reflect on this? Take time to ponder over this awesome God and bow down to praise and worship Him!
