My Times Are In Your Hands

But I trust in you, LORD; I say, "You are my God."
My times are in your hands; deliver me from the hands of my enemies, from those who pursue me. Let your face shine on your servant; save me in your unfailing love.
Let me not be put to shame, LORD, for I have cried out to you; but let the wicked be put to shame and be silent in the realm of the dead.
Let their lying lips be silenced, for with pride and contempt they speak arrogantly against the righteous. How abundant are the good things that you have stored up for those who fear you, that you bestow in the sight of all, on those who take refuge in you.
In the shelter of your presence you hide them from all human intrigues; you keep them safe in your dwelling from accusing tongues.
Psalm 31:14-20

My times are in your hands.
What better place to place your life than in the hands of God. David was a man who experienced extreme pain and extreme glory. As the anointed future king of Israel, he found himself running to preserve his life from King Saul for years. He slept in caves and survived by doing odd jobs and security work. But through all his trials, he looked up to God for sustenance and protection. So, he writes, "But I trust in you, LORD . . . My times are in your hands; deliver me from my enemies . . . let your face shine on your servant."

Your times are in the hands of God.
May God deliver you from the hands of your enemies; from those who pursue you.
May the face of God shine on you, and may God save you in His unfailing love.

Because you cry out to God, may you never be put to shame.
May God silence all lying lips against you.
May the lips of those who speak arrogantly against you be sealed.

May you enjoy the abundance of good things God has stored up for those who fear Him.
May you enjoy God's abundance in the sight of all.
May God shelter you from all human intrigues and accusing tongues.
May God shine His face on you.
Prayer: Father, I receive these blessings for your glory. May all that I am and ever hope to be bring honor to your name. Amen.
