Our Glorious God

The heavens proclaim the glory of God. The skies display His craftsmanship.
Day after day they continue to speak; night after night they make Him known.
They speak without a sound or word; their voice is never heard. Yet their message has gone throughout the earth, and their words to all the world. (Psalm 19:1-4 NLT).

The heavens are a natural revelation of the existence of God.
Psalm 14 says, "The fool says in his heart, "There is no God."
Paul reminds us in Romans 1 that "what may be known about God is plain . . . For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities -- His eternal power and divine nature -- have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse."

The existence of our glorious God is indisputable. Day after day and night after night, creation speaks and attests to this so humans are without excuse. Creation sings a soundless song and delivers a wordless message about the reality of God.

But beyond the testimony of creation -- the moon, the stars, the sun, the mountains and oceans -- is the greatest testimony of all; the song and testimony of the Redeemed Children of God -- you and me! We are the ones created in the very image of God. We are the ones for whom Jesus died.
By living authentically for Jesus, we attest more than the rest of creation could ever do that our glorious God truly exists. We live in Him and move in Him and have our being in Him.
Let's declare the glory of God more than the heavens could ever do!

Prayer: Father, I thank you for the privilege of being your child. If the heavens for whom you did not die declare your glory, how much more should I, your Redeemed Child, created in your very image, declare your glory? Help me to declare your glory in words, thoughts and deeds. Amen.
