How Long, LORD?
How long, LORD? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me? How long must I wrestle with my thoughts and day after day have sorrow in my heart? . . . Look on me and answer, LORD my God. Give light to my eyes, or I will sleep in death, and my enemy will say, "I have overcome him," and my foes will rejoice when I fall.
But I trust in your unfailing love; My heart rejoices in your salvation.
I will sing the LORD's praise, for He has been good to me. (Psalm 13)

So how long, LORD? How long must I wait to hear from you? Will I ever hear from you before I succumb to the grave? Will my enemy have the pleasure of saying I am a loser and I waited on you in vain? Will my foes have the pleasure of rejoicing because I have fallen?
No! Not at all because I trust in your unfailing love. My mind might wrestle with doubts but my heart knows who you are. You are the God of unfailing love. My heart rejoices in your salvation. I will sing your praise because you have been good to me.
That's the way to go! When your mind is riddled with doubts. When it looks as if God is silent. When it looks as if you are down and out and your adversaries are getting ready to sing at your funeral. Search your heart. Remember and rejoice in God's salvation. Salvation means God will come to your aid and "save" you out of your dismal situation. This should cause you to sing of the goodness of God.
So how long, LORD? Not too long, my child; not too long. You will soon see my salvation.
