This Is Not Rocket Science!
If you fully obey the LORD your God and carefully keep all His commands that I am giving you today . . . You will experience all these blessings . . .
Your towns and your fields will be blessed. Your children and your crops will be blessed. . . . Wherever you go and whatever you do, you will be blessed. "The LORD will conquer your enemies when they attack you. They will attack you from one direction, but they will scatter from you in seven!

I almost felt uncomfortable revisiting the crux of the matter: Obedience is the key to our blessings. The reason for my discomfiture is because we have seen it in almost every instruction given by God to His children. I have touched on it as it has surfaced in the Scriptures, numerous times! They have not been contrived and forced in. They have "naturally" appeared in the unfolding of the text.
I could either avoid commenting on it (to please people who might complain) or I could faithfully renew our minds on it (which is the fearless and godly thing to do).
I choose the latter because I must faithfully proclaim the truth tirelessly! It is almost like a medical doctor repeatedly saying: eat your fruits and vegetables and exercise to stay healthy!
Jeremiah said: ". . . His word is in my heart like a fire, a fire shut up in my bones. I am weary of holding it in; indeed, I cannot." (Jeremiah 20:9) The Apostle Peter said: "Therefore, I will always remind you about these things -- even though you already know them and . . . you have been taught. And it is only right that I should keep on reminding you as long as I live. (2 Peter 1:12-13, NLT). The Holy Spirit will empower you to obey as you hear.
The truth is: Life flourishes only as we adhere to the basics. The basic laws of nature, physics, chemistry etc. remain the same. We do not get away from them. We only improve on our application to enhance the human experience on earth. God's basic spiritual laws remain the same. They will never change. Obedience remains an unchanging divine principle!
So, child of God, if you want to be blessed by God, there is only one key -- it is called obedience. This is not Rocket Science. It is as simple as it comes. Obey and be blessed.

Prayer: Lord, none of your commands are given in Scripture by chance. As repetitive as they might be, you have given them for a reason. Help me to obey them. Amen.
