Our Story

How it all started...

In June 2001 Rev. Dr. Albert (ABK) Appiah and his wife Angela responded to God’s call to plant a new church. Armed with a vision and great faith,  they fixed the basement of their home to facilitate worship service  and a meeting place.
Through prayer, God brought Pastor Bill Frasnelli ofJubilee Christian Center, Fairfax, VA  and Pastor Steve Brimmer of Center Point Church in Virginia to support the vision and mission of Renewal Christian Center.

Expanding the vision...

We are grateful for the zeal, commitments and dedication of the pioneering individuals and families who worked tirelessly to support the vision.  Presently, we are confident in pursing the vision within the PG county and neighboring counties through our various outreach missions and  small group ministries by “Renewing lives and Releasing Potential” through the empowering Word of God and the nurturing love of Christ to result in disciples for Jesus Christ.

Where we are headed...

RCC is focused on fulfilling the vision to serve as a “Spiritual Hospital” for the Washington DC metropolitan area. Renewal serves as a “Spiritual Hospital” where people find spiritual  hope in Christ by reaching out in practical ways to meet various needs in our community and around the world.
We have been blessed with 23 acres of prime property right off Highway 301 in Upper Marlboro, Maryland  to build a campus to facilitate the vision.
We invite you to be a part of this spiritual journey.
